(The story of Randy Shelden)
Randy Shelden was a banker in York NE for many years. Though he was 60, he worked and interacted like a much younger man. Some of Mr. Shelden's hobbies included gardening, pool maintenance, and making sure to spend every second with his grandkids. After an accident in 2015, Randy lost his life at the age of 60, leaving behind his loving wife, 3 daughters, and 6 grandchildren. Randy donated 5 vital organs to those in need.
- Randy's right kidney recipient is a 69 year-old female. She is married and has a son and a daughter. She enjoys stain glass, traveling, and reading. According to the transplant center, the kidney is functioning and the recipient is recovering in the hospital.
- A 58 year-old gentleman received Randy's left kidney. He is married and has two stepsons. He enjoys reading, music, and bowling. The transplant center reports that the kidney has good function and the recipient has been discharged from the hospital.
- A married 33 year-old gentleman received Randy's liver: He enjoys watching TV and attending church. The liver is functioning and at the time of the transplant center's report, the liver was functioning and he continued his recovery in the hospital.
